Have you ever been OUTTED by a friend, or coworker?

I'll start. Had a neighbor buddy that used to troll this one story site that I was aware of. So I wrote a "story" using both his and her real names..and how we teamed one night to pound CTwifey's pussy" Was hoping to tip him off, even using places, phrases he would find familiar. In other words, to prime the pump. Before hand though, I had eaten my wife to at least three orgasm while she read that very story. So I was in, she was almost there, at least, favorably aware..I don't know if he found the idea too much to keep in. So he told member or members of his church men's group about my willingness to share my wife's pussy. They tripped all over themselves in a sexual undercurrent the next few weeks, to get favorable nod from my wife. I certainly didn't mind, and no one was going to SAY anything anyway. One guy even took to calling my wife as an advisor, and they delved briefly into sexual fantasy.
Anyway, no one ever succeeded, simply because they failed to make the right approach.Neighbor Buddy? altho having seen the guy in the gym showers. He was hung like a horse, and yes, I had told CTwifey that, would've made her screen compared to my average cock. she probably would never had even felt me after taking his cock.....it never materialized because he gave up a very REAL shot at my wife's pussy for his ego. and yes, she orgasmed to that very fantasy he gave up.,,to this day he'll never know just how close he was to fucking ctwifey....next up?

What would have been "the right approach?"

    No, I haven't.
My brother-in-law was outted by my sister-in-law, though. He doesn't know that we know.
She told my mother-in-law and my wife, and said, "What's the big deal? Everyone does it."

Well Thankfully that will Never happen because Everyone is different and it is those differences that make Life Wonderful, Exciting and not boring. I would Never expect everyone to be like me in the same way that I don't want to be like everyone else.

    Not me, I'm the same.

I totally agree with you. I didn't mean to say that everyone or even most people would practice or even find nonmonogamy attractive. Only that they would tolerate it in the way most people now tolerate homosexual people and homosexual relationships, despite their percentage of the population remaining steady.

I'm not the "out and proud" type, but it would be nice not to have to expurgate this part of our lives.

Outted yes. Our families and friends know. Our daughter even told some of her male friends in school.

So what is the feedback? Are they respectful and tolerant?

In general yes. After some questions and maybe looking up some things about the lifestyle. They've come to accept it. Some smiles and been hanging out more at our house.
