I've had to remove the chat room that was at the top of the main page forum. This is due to repeated classified ads spam, e.g. "Looking for X" and endless advertising of email addresses, hooking up, etc, etc.

The chat box, as I've said many times in the past, is not the place to advertise "looking for" type posts. People have disregarded this rule on a continuing basis, and thus the chatbox has been removed.

The Classifieds section (which I'm thinking of making a paid service) is the place to post "looking for" type deals. It is currently still free, but I'm seriously thinking of making it a robust and PAID application.

Please follow the rules at this forum. They exist for a reason - to keep spammers and freeloaders at bay.

I'll update the forum with a new classified system soon.

Why don't you just admit that this forum is dead, and finally put it out of its misery? Only like 10 posts per day, crappy power abusing moderation that discourages activity (Example: NECuck banning somebody because they posted a 'real' fake story in the 'real life' subforum), and all the crappy 'look at my girl!' 'what would you do to her?' threads. It's time to pull the trigger.

Not to be too confrontational, but I'm sure your suggestion will be considered with the weight of coming from somebody who joined ~3 years go, but has only posted 3 times. All 3 of which to say basically what you just said. Why not actually contribute something relevant that elevates the forum standards to what you think it should be?

Sorry, but I beg to differ with whatevur. Some of us have been around for a long time and actually participate regularly. This is a civil forum, unlike many of the busier ones out there, and I appreciate that. No one was banned for posting a story. You will be banned (as in most well-moderated forums) if you create sock-puppets to perpetrate fraud, which is what happened. I compare it to visiting someone's home. If you don't like the company, don't whine, bitch, and bust up the furniture. Just find a new place to hang out.

Oh yes, because seniority tips the scales in an argument, yes?
I just contributed my opinion, which was that the moderation is driving away people from the forum. This forum has too many sub-forums, which makes it disorganized and hard to navigate. It wouldn't be so bad if there was plenty of traffic and lots of new content in every sub-forum, but there isn't. The fact is that most of the content on this forum could be put into most other sub-forums, which just makes it very difficult if you are looking for something specific.

There again we see the pride you people have in your seniority. This pride can't be good for attracting new members. I still don't understand how you think that posting a 'fake' story in the wrong subsection was a big deal. Just move the thread and be done with it, instead you all decide to make a big deal out of it and ban a member that was actually providing content that might have attracted new members. I was enjoying his story even though I knew it was fake from his first post. The fact is that it wasn't hard to tell it was fake, and if you couldn't tell it was fake then maybe your seniority doesn't really go that far.

I assure you, I don't spend much time here, because there isn't much to do or see. Like I said before its usually about 5-10 posts per day, which is pitiful. Currently the site and its moderation are destroying themselves, obviously they aren't doing it right. Outside perspective is probably better than what they are doing currently.

In the new thread "new cuck with a sexy wife"

Do you think this kind of shit is necessary? At least he knows now that he is a rule-breaking piece of shit. Alternatively NECuck could have simply moved the thread to the appropriate forum, and left the new user to his own business. Over-moderating and power-abuse, it's extremely common, especially in small forums like this one.

whatever, I see a need for you to Read and Follow all Posting Guidelines/Rules. Please do that over the next 3 days. If you have any further comment on this matter, please send a PM.

Why do you bother coming around if you hate the forum this much?

10 posts per day - you want quantity over quality? The reason there are "10 posts per day" (there are more than that) is because we do not abide crappy posts like "me, too!" and "thanks for that!" and "that was great!". Other forums are ripe with that unhelpful nonsense, and we have a "thanks" and "like" button for this purpose. You do not see how many likes or thanks people get on their posts. I do, and there are plenty more than just 10 per day.

No, it doesn't, but a crappy, hostile attitude is not welcomed here. You can share your opinion without being rude or indelicate.

Ok, you don't like the organization of the forum. How would you change it?

Posting a fake story in the "real life experiences" thread? You see nothing wrong with this?

Maybe in your world it's OK to mislead others. In mine, not so much.

And perhaps you are smarter than others. Some people will take things at face value. This is the smart thing to realize.

The forum exists in parts for a reason. If you have a REAL life experience, put it in the real life experience section. If it's fiction, put it in the stories section. Really that simple. But people don't follow this and will invent things for their own entertainment and giggles. We don't allow that here for the sake of quality.

If it's fake and it's put in the real life experience section, you'll be called out. Not fair to people who have faith in this forum's integrity.

One guy had a massively popular thread about his "girlfriend" a few months ago. He supplied pictures, a huge story, etc, etc. It got tons of replies.

A simple reverse image google search revealed this guy as a charlatan - he made the entire thing up. All of the pictures were of some amateur porn star.

And am I supposed to sit back and let the guy continue deceiving others?

    Ain't happenin' here.

Well, sorry you feel that way, yet I don't see any helpful suggestions to make it better - just a lot of complaining.

I will, however, lift your ban.

Sometimes, especially when seniority demonstrates knowledge of how forums function in general. You seem to have been banned from quite a few. Aside from that, contribution tips the scales.

I agree with don and the moderator. I like the forum but too many people are using it the wrong way. My suggestion is take it down for 30 days and bring it back. IF it continues to happen then take it down for 60 days and then remove it for 6 months. Sometimes, as we all have learned, people have to learn the hard way.
